Recently I encountered a strange error while logging to a Windows 7 starter netbook.Every time I tried to login an error message pops up "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded".

This error may occur if the "Do not logon users with temporary profiles" Group Policy setting is configured.This issue may occur if the user profile was manually deleted by using the command prompt or by using Windows Explorer.So in my case this might have been caused as I cleaned up the system after a recent virus attack. The user profile switches to a temporary profile.
